Due to the mild temperament and high intelligence its a great bird. However most people could not keep such a large bird. The lucky ones that make the commitment for such a bird are in for a treat. The upper side of the tail, wings, backside and neck are rich, deep blue. Under parts are bright golden yellow. The underside of the tail is blue tinged with yellow. The crown is greenish tinged with blue. A black bib collar frames the lower part of the face. Sizes can be anywhere from 30 inches to smaller in length. Most Blue And Golds have a great disposition which makes them very good choice for a large macaw. Most Blue and Golds learn very fast. Talking talents are questionable, however our opinion is, many do learn to talk quite well but we would never sell anyone any macaw for a top talking species. You must accept them for what they are. No doubt they have talents far beyond talking ability, you may see many trick bird shows with the star bird being the Blue and Gold macaw. They are one of the most desirable of all macaws due to all the positives. But one must understand that owning these birds or any bird is not cheap. One must consider the cage requirements. Some suitable cages that could house such large strong birds can cost upward of $500.00 or more. Amazon Parrot

This amazon parrot species never fails in becoming the center of attention. Yellow nape amazon parrot are one of the best talking species of all birds. Yes, even better than African Greys. Well lets just say Yellow Nape amazon parrot talk more and will talk in front of strangers where Greys seem to be slightly shy. Of course there are exceptions to this, as some greys are also good talkers in front of strangers, but this is not the norm. This species (Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot) will learn at a very young age. We have had many Yellow napes start vocalizing actual words at 10-15 weeks old. Some even younger. If you are looking for the perfect talking species, then this one is for you. Keeping in mind that most amazon parrot should not be left unsupervised around very young children as with most all parrots there is a danger of nipping. If you are old enough to remember the Carson Show, many times there was a Yellow Nape brought on the show, that bird would sing, laugh, cry, sing opera, etc. That is what Yellow Napes Do. They do not even need training...Most of the time when you see a green parrot on TV that has a very good talking ability its normally the Yellow Naped Amazon. I personally own a Yellow Nape Amazon named Loretta, This bird is amazing . She speaks spanish, english, sings opera, etc. She is the perfect example of the talented ability of the Yellow Nape Amazon Parrot. Cockatoos

Cockatoos are one the most attractive and affectionate members of the entire parrot family and one of our favorites. Most experts state that cockatoos are in one of three main categories: they are mostly white, pink and black. However I totally disagree and think that the pink cockatoos fall into the white cockatoo category since these are white cockatoos with tinge pink or rose. Since we only breed the white and pink cockatoos we will only speak of those here. (Moluccan, umbrella, citron)

Umbrella Cockatoos are excellent as lifetime companions, if you have the time to devote to such a demanding creature. Most people do not qualify to own a cockatoo as a pet. This meaning that if you work extended work hours, like to vacation regularly, have small children in the home, etc. There is very little time left over for these demanding birds. Have you ever seen those pictures of the cockatoos with feather plucking problems. Most of these birds problems come from being left alone for extended periods of time. Cockatoos are nothing like other birds and cannot be treated like other birds i.e. amazons, greys, etc. Cockatoos need and demand attention. If you are ready to devote your life and time to a child then a cockatoo may be right for you.
